This wick dipper also works as a fantastic tool. Use it to "level" the soft wax on the surface of a candle in a container or to center a wick after it's been burning for a while to prevent tunneling. Sometimes you can't burn a candle long enough the first time for all of the wax to melt on the top of a candle or sometimes it just doesn't all melt due to drafts or an off-center wick. After the candle has been burning for a few hours, use the wick dipper to extinguish the flame.
